A moisture meter is essential for storing guitar wood properly. It helps luthiers and builders maintain the ideal moisture level, around 6–8%, to prevent warping, cracking or shrinking. By checking humidity balance before cutting or gluing, a moisture meter ensures wood stability, quality and protects your investment in premium tonewoods.

Our Multifunction Moisture Meter measures moisture content in wood and other building materials such as sheetrock, drywall, wallboard, concrete, mortar and plaster.

It can also measure humidity, air temperature and dew point using the built-in probe. The unit allows for moisture measurement using 3 different methods - the built-in penetration pins, using the pin-less moisture sensor on the back of the unit or using the external probe which is included with the unit.
